Kit Speakman Marketing Ltd (KSM) was founded in 1994 by Essex farmers Kit & Trudy Speakman as a diversification venture on their farm. The family run business is based on the historic Little Braxted Hall estate situated in the heart of the picturesque Blackwater Valley in Essex, adjacent to the medieval village church. The former dairy farmers began the business selling health and hygiene products to the dairy industry, taking over sole-marketing rights for the Cozy Cow mattress in 1996. The manufacturers of the recycled rubber mattresses then ventured into the world of recycled rubber amenity/play tiles and thus KSM split into two sections - KSM Agriculture and KSM Safer Surfaces.
